The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization providing emergency assistance to needy people.

As it is also a non-profit organization, the Red Cross depends solely on the generous contributions of time, blood, and money from people like you!

Since its founding in 1881, it has helped millions of people worldwide in times of crisis, providing a wide range of services, including disaster relief, blood donation, and first aid training.

There are many different ways in which one could support the Red Cross. You can make a difference by giving some of your precious time to help out at a local Red Cross event.

Or, if you’re feeling healthy and spry, you can donate blood at one of our many donation centers. Lastly, finances are always welcome and helpful — every little bit counts!

The Red Cross is a vital part of the global community, and its work makes a real difference in the lives of people facing difficult situations.

What are the requirements to be a volunteer for the Red Cross?

Red Cross volunteers generally must be at least 18 years old.

Some exceptions are made, however, for situations where a volunteer is provided parental authorization, and an adult is available to supervise the volunteer.

Additionally, Red Cross volunteers must be driven by a desire to help. It doesn’t matter if, by significant donations or “small” actions in your community, it’s just as they say: every little bit counts!

Solidarity and support come before personal ideals, goals, and agendas.

Always be mindful and stay vigilant about your matters getting in between you and the people that need help!

Don’t forget to love each other, and do your best to aid those who need a helping hand!
